I am a NJ Licensed Marriage and Family therapist, and have been in private practice for over 20 years in Edison. My primary focus has been helping couples with marital and pre-marital counseling, working with families as well as one-on-one psychotherapy.
I grew up in New York City. I received my B.A. from University of Connecticut “with honors,” and my M.A. in Marriage & Family Therapy from Seton Hall University. My doctorate is in Counseling Psychology from Pacific Western University. I am also a NJ Licensed Professional Counselor.
Prior to entering my full-time private practice, I engaged in three post-graduate certification programs:
- The Family Institute, Rutgers University, in New Brunswick, NJ for two years.
- The Center For Alcohol Studies, Rutgers University, in New Brunswick, NJ for one year. My training at the Center for Alcohol Studies provided me with a strong background to allow me to work with addictions particularly alcohol as well as ACOA (Adult Children of Alcoholics) and co-dependency issues.
- University of Medicine & Dentistry at Rutgers University in New Brunswick, NJ. For four years I worked with individuals, couples, individuals, and families. I also did group psychotherapy working with relationship issues, seniors experiencing depression and families who had a family member suffering from schizophrenia.
I am a Clinical Member of the American Association of Marriage & Family Therapists and the New Jersey Member of AAMFT.
