About Me

momI am a NJ Licensed Marriage and Family therapist, and have been in private practice for over 20 years in Edison. My primary focus has been helping couples with marital and pre-marital counseling, working with families as well as one-on-one psychotherapy.

I grew up in New York City. I received my B.A. from University of Connecticut “with honors,” and my M.A. in Marriage & Family Therapy from Seton Hall University. My doctorate is in Counseling Psychology from Pacific Western University.  I am also a NJ Licensed Professional Counselor.

Prior to entering my full-time private practice, I engaged in three post-graduate certification programs:

  1. The Family Institute, Rutgers University, in New Brunswick, NJ for two years.
  2. The Center For Alcohol Studies, Rutgers University, in New Brunswick, NJ for one year. My training at the Center for Alcohol Studies provided me with a strong background to allow me to work with addictions particularly alcohol as well as ACOA (Adult Children of Alcoholics) and co-dependency issues.
  3. University of Medicine & Dentistry at Rutgers University in New Brunswick, NJ. For four years I worked with individuals, couples, individuals, and families. I also did group psychotherapy working with relationship issues, seniors experiencing depression and families who had a family member suffering from schizophrenia.

I am a Clinical Member of the American Association of Marriage & Family Therapists and the New Jersey Member of AAMFT.
